Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the primary liaison with all Component Organization Information System Security Officers (ISSO), both Federal and Contractor personnel, to facilitate seamless integration in alignment with CMS security standards.
  2. Perform security control evaluations utilizing NIST Special Publication 800-53a, including stakeholder interviews, documentation review, and technical assessments of the mandated security controls.
  3. Document and maintain security plans, contingency strategies, compliance measures, risk assessments, milestones, security control evaluations, FedRAMP access, and other security-related artifacts as specified by CMS.
  4. Ensure the maintenance of the Authority to Operate (ATO) and adherence to other security compliance requirements as outlined by HHS/CMS policies.
  5. Engage in ongoing security research to stay informed about emerging security challenges.
Essential Skills:
  1. Possession of an active Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium.
  2. Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  3. Capability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Essential Experience:
  1. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise security implementation.
  3. Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online (SPO).
  4. Experience with the Microsoft Azure for Government (MAG) cloud platform.
  5. Experience within the Health and Human Services (HHS) sector is advantageous.
