About the Role

Crum & Forster is seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Technical Associate to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for providing support to our underwriting regions by handling the booking of bonds, organizing and filing key documents, and handling inquiries from underwriters and agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to assigned regional underwriting team
  • Ensure policy transactions are booked, invoiced, and issued accurately and meet corporate time service standards
  • File electronic documentation into the imaging system and label documents appropriately
  • Provide agencies with bond numbers via tracking system
  • Communicate with producers to obtain information required to complete transactions
  • Timely response to producer and underwriter requests and inquiries
  • Manage shared mailbox according to procedure
  • Participate in review of departmental workflow and process
  • Assist underwriters with account financial analysis
  • Support underwriters with administrative tasks
  • Research and respond to billing and collections inquiries
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or six or more years of equivalent experience related to insurance operations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and math skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of policy administration/rating insurance systems
  • Ability to take ownership and see tasks through to completion
  • Strong Microsoft skills
