We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Volunteer Caregiver to join our team. As a Home Health Support Specialist, you will provide patient care and support services according to your experience and training, and in compliance with our organization's policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care and support services in various settings, including home care, respite, inpatient, bereavement, and administrative settings.
  • Participate in general orientation and training programs.
  • Document patient interactions and maintain confidentiality.
  • Meet all health requirements set by Harmony Home Health & Hospice.
  • Provide availability on a regular basis and/or according to patient and family/caregiver needs.
  • Participate in volunteer support groups and/or educational in-services.
  • Maintain open communication and report regularly to the Volunteer Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • Mature individual, supportive of the hospice concept, comfortable with their own spirituality, and willing to serve others in a volunteer capacity.
  • Successful completion of the hospice's volunteer training and orientation program.
  • Previous volunteer experience may be helpful.
  • Ability to work within the interdisciplinary group.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Pass background screen upon hire.
  • Effective organizational skills.
