Position Summary
We are in search of a Property Accountant to oversee all accounting operations for a designated portfolio of properties. This role encompasses managing daily accounting tasks and the month-end closing process. Be a vital part of our innovative and expanding team.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledgers and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, budget comparisons, and lender documentation.
- Collaborate with departments such as Asset Management and Property Management to ensure accurate accounting practices in line with GAAP.
- Handle daily cash management, accounts receivable/payable processing, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Oversee tenant invoicing, reimbursement calculations, lease analysis, and tenant inquiries.
- Ensure timely and accurate accounting entries with a clear audit trail.
- Conduct quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in developing and updating departmental policies and procedures.
- Prepare annual CAM estimates and reconciliations.
- Support the annual audit process.
- Ensure all analyses and deliverables are precise and well-organized.
- Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficient understanding of GAAP and strong accounting skills.
- 1-3 years of experience in journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and trial balance analysis.
- Experience in the commercial real estate sector is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with real estate legal documents such as leases and management agreements.
- Prior experience with Yardi Voyager or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative approach and a strong work ethic.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with Google productivity tools.
- CPA designation or candidacy is a plus.
