At Albany Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse II to join our Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.

Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves providing exceptional patient care, implementing physician orders, and assessing patients' conditions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop effective care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and start IVs as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or a diploma in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in New York State.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in neuroscience or critical care nursing.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
