Job Title: Customer Service Help Desk Specialist

ERT is seeking a skilled Help Desk Specialist to provide exceptional customer service and technical support for NOAA satellite systems at our Suitland, MD facility.

Job Summary

This is an on-site position requiring 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis. As a Help Desk Specialist, you will work closely with network teams and management to provide detailed reporting and updates on various aspects of the satellite systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and respond to alarms and alerts in accordance with Government directives and procedures
  • Create tickets and provide daily logs for activities processed
  • Track and report Satellite data anomalies via NOAA's ticketing system
  • Provide support to end users on a variety of issues via phone and email
  • Attend weekly meetings to provide feedback to Management
  • Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution
Requirements
  • 1+ years' experience in a relevant professional position
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and timely
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team framework
  • Basic use of Microsoft Suite and Google Suite products
  • Ability to multitask within different software platforms
  • CompTIA A+ certification preferred
  • Ability to work a 12-hour alternating shift schedule
