The Bridge Family Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Program Supervisor to oversee the behavioral management of DCF involved youth and provide guidance and support to staff in its Wolcott STTAR home serving adolescent males.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with Youth Workers to create and maintain a healthy, therapeutic, safe, and trauma-informed culture by enforcing program expectations.

This position involves effective use of the Bridge's residential behavior management strategy and ensuring that all program policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with program requirements and expectations.
  • Reviewing and supervising daily activity schedules, maintaining routine of residents, and supervising chores and other tasks, as needed.
  • Providing supervision of Youth Workers on shift and directing their interactions with residents as necessary.
  • Teaching and training direct care staff through role modeling to effectively provide therapeutic interactions.
  • Acting as the point person for crisis management, as necessary, while on shift.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of resident's files relative to incident reports, daily shift documentation, resident appointments, and any other required information.
  • Engaging residents in positive peer interaction and monitoring interactions between staff and residents.
  • Working in collaboration with Program Manager and Clinical Coordinator to review each resident and assist in carrying out treatment plan objectives.
  • Effectively carrying out the behavioral management strategy with program residents.
  • Assisting with intakes and the discharge of participants into the STTAR Home, as needed.
  • Transportation of clients, as required.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field, at least two years' experience working with at-risk adolescents, and certifications in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Adult First Aid/CPR, and DCF Medication Administration.
