We are seeking a qualified Stroke Physician to join our esteemed team at ICON Medical Network. This role is designed for professionals with a strong background in neurology and a passion for patient care.
Required Qualifications- At least two years of experience as an Adult Neurohospitalist or in Neurocritical care.
- Specialized training in acute stroke management.
- Employment Type: W2
- Shift Schedule: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
- Minimum Commitment: 7 shifts per month, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Holiday Coverage: Shared rotation among team members.
- This position allows for a true Neurohospitalist model, enabling the management of acute cases in the Emergency Department, continuity of care in the ICU or on the floor, and patient follow-up until consultation is no longer necessary.
- Physicians will also have the opportunity to provide EEG interpretation, supervise employed Neurology APPs, and cover outpatient tele neurology clinics, depending on the program.
- Projected Patient Volumes: 10-12 acute consults per shift, with an average of 1 acute consult per hour, and the ability to conduct 2 follow-ups per hour or hand off follow-ups to the next team member.
- Expertise in Stroke/tPA, primarily focused on stroke management.
- General Neurology proficiency.
- EEG interpretation skills, including 30-minute, 60-minute, and 24-hour reads.
