Job Title: Travel MRI Technologist

Focus Staff is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Travel MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Travel MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to work on a travel assignment in Key West, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MRI procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Conduct patient interviews to explain MRI procedures and address patient concerns.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by following safety protocols and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
  • License in required state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
Work Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in a clinical area, preferably in EP.

Responsibilities:

MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images (photographs) of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative, performs related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care utilizing efficient and safe processes.

Performs patient studies according to set protocol, including placing specified coil close to the area of interest.

Operates imaging and other equipment devices so that quality diagnostic services are provided, including keying commands to specify scan sequences into the computer, adjusting transmitters and receivers, and keying in data on the keyboard of the camera to photograph images.

Interviews patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures to address patient concerns and exhibits a high degree of tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.

Ensures patient and staff safety, including explaining safety protocol, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, alerting staff of danger or carrying metal around the magnet, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.

Orients new hires and trains MRI Technologists, students, trainees.
