We are seeking an experienced Transportation Planner 4 to join our team in Tallahassee, Florida. As a key member of our transportation planning group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from policy studies to GIS-based mapping and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leveraging your expertise in transportation systems, models, and data to prepare studies of existing or proposed transportation systems.">
  • Assisting in research and coordination with FDOT Districts and other agencies on legislative policies.">
  • Providing technical guidance and training to more junior staff.">
  • Mentoring more junior staff and developing them for future growth within the discipline and firm.">

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning or a related discipline.">
  • No less than 5 years of experience in transportation planning, preferably with a focus on policy and development.">
  • Solid knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by all transportation modes, as well as current transportation trends/issues.">
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.">
  • A strong understanding of regional and community planning principles, including the practical application of movement of people, goods and services.">
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.">
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required (approximately 5%).">
  • A valid driver's license is not required but preferred.">

Salary Information

">

The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
