Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Engineer III to join our team in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our Effectors portfolio, you will play a critical role in maximizing throughput, improving efficiency, and delivering increasing value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Model factory operations using process flows, value stream maps, and other tools to identify areas for improvement.
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
- Develop and implement infrastructure improvement and expansion proposals to support factory roadmaps and investment strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects that address obsolescence, improve factory performance, and promote growth.
- Support new production contract/new product proposals and new product integration efforts.
- Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, or similar engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience/Education with factory layout and work cell design/optimization.
- Experience/Education with simulation modeling and capacity analysis tools/methods.
- Experience/Education with project management.
- Experience/Education with CAD software.
- Six Sigma certifications.
- Leading teams and capable of influencing without authority.
