Job Summary

Med Center Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing CT and Radiologic examinations using advanced imaging, recording, and processing devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examination Procedures: Perform CT and Radiologic examinations using complex radiographic equipment and advanced imaging devices.
  • Patient Care: Ensure patient safety and comfort during examinations, and identify patient film with name, date, and exam number correctly.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform decontamination or asepsis on equipment, load and perform minor troubleshooting on the laser camera, and report mechanical malfunctions or problems to the supervisor.
  • Quality Control: Review radiographs to determine quality and completeness of examination and take appropriate action.
  • Collaboration: Assist Radiologists with localizing procedures, needle biopsies, and fluid abscess drainage, following sterile technique procedure.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of Radiologic Technology program required.
  • Certifications/Licensure: State of Kentucky Radiation Operator Certification required. Registration in Radiography (R) with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Registered CT, Vascular Interventional Technologist (VI), and/or Cardiac Interventional Technologist (CV) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
