Key Responsibilities: Collaborate effectively within a team, maintaining communication with the Project Manager and Superintendent on all QC/QA matters. Evaluate and scrutinize submittals, RFIs, and other contractual documents while adhering to established project and organizational documentation protocols. Interpret and assess contract documents, facilitating discussions with the project team. Design and implement quality inspection programs that fulfill both company and client expectations. Oversee the systematic application of a quality management framework for various projects, services, or geographical areas. Projects may encompass water system master plans, hydraulic distribution modeling, water audits, water quality assessments, disinfection processes, and water systems design (including treatment plants and pump stations). Manage the monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure adherence to quality management systems, ensuring that evidence is documented and preserved. Provide guidance to team members within the scope of established policies. Suggest policy modifications and develop procedures impacting the immediate organization. Address diverse issues requiring comprehensive analysis of situations or data, considering current business trends. Serve as an advisor to subordinates to meet timelines and resolve technical challenges, potentially managing budget responsibilities. Coordinate departmental activities, ensuring accountability for outcomes, and may oversee functional areas without direct reports. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as a Quality Control Manager on government projects is preferred. At least 5 years of experience in Water and/or Wastewater projects, with 2 years in a leadership role preferred. Must be committed to a drug-free workplace and agree to a post-offer drug screening. Adherence to safety protocols and minimizing OSHA recordable incidents is essential. Willingness to travel to various job sites is required. Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business publications, professional journals, technical guidelines, or governmental regulations. Capable of drafting reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Familiarity with spreadsheet and word processing software, as well as reporting tools related to databases. Must possess the ability to learn design software. Competence in mathematical concepts related to structural engineering and associated calculations. A degree of business acumen, including knowledge of operating expenses and profit, is necessary. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical scenarios. May be tasked with directing Field Engineers and/or QA/QC Engineers. Education and Experience: BA/BS degree with 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred: 10+ years of experience in Municipal Water and/or Wastewater projects with 2+ years in a leadership capacity. Experience in projects involving Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pump Stations, and related infrastructure.
