Role Summary:As the Principal Architect/Product Definer for the Low Power Core team, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and shaping the product roadmap for next-generation solutions. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional solutions that tackle power efficiency and density challenges while crafting comprehensive product specifications (PRDs) for client computing and related applications. You will collaborate cross-functionally with a diverse array of teams, including IC design, Applications, Marketing, and other engineering units, to transform innovative ideas into tangible products.
This position demands a profound understanding of system-level challenges from a customer viewpoint, combined with expertise in VR system technologies, IC design methodologies, and power architectures. You will navigate trade-offs among competing priorities to formulate optimal definitions for new products. Your insights into system-level considerations from CPU vendors and customers will guide VR architecture and product roadmaps. Upon validation and approval, you will be responsible for documenting these concepts in a PRD, serving as a roadmap for the execution team. Additionally, you will identify critical pathways for long-term value creation to support a sustainable business model.
Key Responsibilities:- Engage with customer systems engineers to gain a comprehensive understanding of overarching challenges and value drivers.
- Evaluate various VR methodologies to assess their alignment with customer perspectives.
- Create essential materials to advocate for proposals and enhance customer engagement.
- Directly assist in high-profile customer interactions to build consensus on proposals and facilitate revenue generation.
- Maintain strategic customer relationships to ensure early market insights.
- Stay informed on the latest innovations within the industry.
- Extensive technical expertise in high-performance power management related to CPUs and high-current ASICs is essential.
- A broad technical background, complemented by exceptional communication skills, is required.
- A minimum of 15-20 years of relevant experience in semiconductors and systems is typical.
- A Master's degree in engineering (preferably in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power electronics) is required, with a PhD being advantageous.
The anticipated annual compensation for this role ranges from $180,000 to $270,000. This position is also eligible for STI bonus opportunities and commission pay, with the final offer dependent on geographic location, relevant experience, and candidate skillset.
