Job Title: Maintenance Technician

At Advanced Worker, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and mechanical equipment and fixtures in accordance with code compliance using hand and power tools.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects for adjustment and repair.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.
  • Troubleshoot for proper mechanical operation of equipment and ensure safety systems, guarding, handrails, etc. are in place and functional.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and downtime prevention.
  • Communicate effectively with various levels of the organization to achieve departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure production conformity.
Requirements:
  • Industrial manufacturing knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, and repair/maintenance.
  • Industrial manufacturing knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in equipment repairs, including the ability to use control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Journeymen Certificate or equivalent preferred.
  • OSHA ARC Flash Training preferred.
  • Heavy manufacturing experience preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Ability to handle moving objects using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Ability to see details at close and distant range with depth perception and the ability to see colors.
  • Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time, Hourly, Non-exempt.
