The role involves operating CT machinery to generate detailed cross-sectional images of patients' anatomy, essential for diagnosing various medical conditions.
Key Duties- Positioning patients accurately for CT scans, utilizing necessary immobilization and protective equipment.
- Adjusting equipment settings and monitoring both the machinery and patient throughout the procedure.
- Assisting radiologists during imaging processes, including starting IVs and administering contrast as required.
- Evaluating the quality of CT images and ensuring proper labeling and sequencing.
- Coordinating patient schedules for procedures and performing related clerical tasks.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment focused on high-quality patient care.
- A minimum of eighteen months of experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist.
- Current ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification is required.
- Licensure may be necessary in various states.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
