Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Compunnel. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsibilities- Administer and monitor patient responses to all medications, ensuring safe and effective treatment.
- Direct and guide patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel, maintaining standards of professional nursing within the realm of hospital policy.
- Maintain and deliver the highest quality customer service standards, providing exceptional care and support to patients and their families.
- Properly utilize the nursing process in caring for patients, maintaining relevant, accurate, and current patient records as evidenced by nursing PI activities.
- Provide documentation of assessment of the patient throughout the hospital admission, including physical, psychological, social dimensions, and discharge plans.
- Summarize assessment data and initiate a plan of care with communication of pertinent data to allied patient care providers, as evidenced by nursing PI activities.
- Understand, assume, and demonstrate proficiency in the role of charge nurse, assuming responsibility for patient care and staff supervision.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics (information systems), utilizing technology to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Assume the role of resource person regarding patient care, orientation, and teaching staff, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
- Participate in at least four-unit staff meetings per year, attend mandatory programs, and obtain three hours of Patient Care Assessment Committee (PCAC) credit per year.
- Participate in identification of aspects of care for the patient, indicators used to monitor the quality and appropriateness of care, and the evaluation of that care.
- Adhere to safety, blood/body fluid policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Assess personal learning development needs, maintaining documentation of current and ongoing professional development activities.
- Regularly update knowledge of techniques and regulations appropriate to the age of the patient served, staying current with best practices and industry standards.
- Show a willingness to participate on Nursing Committees, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that impact patient care.
- Represent the hospital in the community and within the hospital, maintaining confidentiality regarding patients and hospital matters, and presenting the hospital in a manner that will best market the services provided.
- Perform other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested by his/her immediate supervisor.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- BSN Preferred.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support Certification required.
- Psychiatric experience Preferred.
