Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Cynet Health in Champaign, IL.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiology procedures using various imaging equipment to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries. This includes acquiring and processing patient exams according to accreditation bodies and manufacturer guidelines and department protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures using various imaging equipment.
  • Acquire and process patient exams according to accreditation bodies and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Review cases with radiologists when necessary.
  • Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast when appropriate.
  • Recognize and respond to any adverse or allergic reactions.
  • Screen patients for pregnancy and perform pregnancy testing if applicable.
  • Ensure radiology orders are complete and accurate.
  • Review patient history and clinical data for medical necessity.
  • Acquire additional information from patients, ordering providers, or radiologists when needed.
  • Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment.
  • Verify and transfer image data to PACS with necessary medical history and information for radiologist interpretation.
  • Maintain imaging equipment and workplace environment, including supply inventories and clean workspace.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and service needs promptly.
  • Ensure patient, visitor, and environmental safety and report safety events immediately.
  • Assist in the instruction of students and new staff.
  • Meet productivity benchmarks and assist other areas during downtimes.
