PACU Nurse

We are seeking a skilled PACU RN to provide exceptional nursing care to patients in our rural hospital. As a PACU RN, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in the post-anesthesia care unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to patients in the PACU
• Diagnose and establish treatment plans for patients
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with physicians and specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Provide emotional support to patients and their family members

Requirements:

• Previous experience in nursing, specifically PACU, pre-op, circulating
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• BLS/ACLS/PALS required
