We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Del Sol Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating Cat Scan equipment, positioning patients to produce diagnostic radiographs, and performing related duties.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Cat Scan equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic radiographs
- Position patients to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures
- Perform reconstruction and special processing of data
- Closely observe patients and perform first aid as necessary
- Confer with physicians to ensure accurate and effective imaging procedures
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including pulling jackets, inputting/editing exams, and completing requisitions
- Record and maintain data on magnetic disc, tape, PACS, and logs
- Texas Medical Board certification as Medical Radiologic Technologist
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to examine radiographs for evaluation techniques, positions, and other related qualities
- Ability to position patients and adjust equipment to produce desired radiographic images
- Skill in safe and efficient operation of Cat Scan equipment
