**Job Summary**

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a vital member of the Lima Memorial Health System team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced physician's office environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Assist with special procedures, such as injections and minor surgeries
  • Provide patient education and instruction on medical procedures and treatments
  • Review and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts and records

**Requirements:**

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Valid unrestricted LPN license for the State of Ohio or Certification as a Medical Assistant by an approved national examination agency
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • One to three years' experience in a physician office practice or hospital setting

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and staff
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations
