Job Title: Medical Records Supervisor - Client Site Liaison

Job Summary:

As a Medical Records Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of medical records at our client sites. This position is responsible for managing the daily scheduling of medical records specialists, acting as a liaison between our organization and client management staff, and ensuring compliance with established client policies, federal and state regulations, and timely completion of medical records activities.

Responsibilities:

* Manage workflow among on-site employees to ensure maximum productivity and quality standards are met.
* Adjust work assignments as needed to cover peak periods, leave, and vacancies.
* Prioritize work to ensure completion of medical records functions.
* Provide coverage in the event of backlogs, illness, vacation, or leave of absence of medical record staff.
* Perform quality assurance monitoring of work performance for medical records specialists.
* Conduct productivity and work performance reviews for medical records specialists in accordance with our organization's policies and procedures and federal/state law.
* Monitor performance and provide performance feedback and evaluations for medical records specialists. Monitor and approve paid time off and schedules for all staff.
* Promote a positive self-image of our organization with emphasis on customer service by treating patients, coworkers, and medical center personnel with courtesy and respect. Respond to customer needs in a positive and efficient manner.
* Provide support to the Area Manager, as needed.

Requirements:

* High School Diploma/GED required.
* Bachelor's and/or Associates Degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a health-related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
* 1 year supervisory/management experience in an acute care setting.
* Knowledge of HIPAA privacy information standards required.
* Demonstrates excellence in written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications required.

Physical Requirements:

* Position requires standing, sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds.
* Position is performed in office and hospital settings.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on location and experience.
