Job Summary

We are seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing limited patient care duties under the supervision of a staff nurse and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform limited patient care duties under the supervision of a staff nurse
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients
  • Work effectively as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Current CA EMT Certification
  • Recent ambulance or hospital experience
  • Current BLS Provider certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum one year experience in a related emergency medical field or acute hospital setting
  • 12 lead EKG class
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
Working Conditions

The EMT will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to stand and walk for long periods of time. The position involves transferring and lifting patients as necessary, and the EMT must be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
