At Mental Health Resource Center, we are committed to providing exceptional psychiatric care to our patients. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services that meet the unique needs of each individual.

The MHRC Adult Inpatient Program is designed for individuals aged 18 and above who require short-term stabilization services due to mental health crises. Our comprehensive assessment and treatment approach includes medication management, individual and group therapy, social rehabilitation, activity options, discharge planning, and referrals to case management and other support services.

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide diagnosis, medication, therapies, interventions, and other approved treatment modalities for assigned caseload; maintain a therapeutic environment.
  2. Assess patients in psychiatric crisis, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  3. Develop and implement recovery-oriented treatment plans with appropriate goals and objectives for each patient.
  4. Conduct psychiatric evaluations and treatment plan reviews at regular intervals to assess patient progress and make recommendations as needed.
  5. Ensure patients are fully informed about prescribed medications and obtain informed consent.
  6. Pursue ongoing professional development and stay updated on the latest evidence-based practices in psychiatry.
  7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams, consulting with staff, family members, significant others, and other agencies regarding diagnostic, medical, and treatment problems.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, community service providers, supervisory staff, and other department professionals.

Requirements:

  • An M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Psychiatry
  • Florida State License
  • Current DEA certification

We seek a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist who can work independently, making sound decisions and demonstrating good judgment daily. Strong communication skills are essential, enabling effective interactions with internal and external customers.
