School Health Services Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Health Services Director to join our team at District 300. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive school health services program that enhances the educational process by removing health barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership for the development and implementation of a comprehensive school health services program that aligns with the district's strategic plan.
- Collaborate with administrators, faculty, staff, students, families, and community partners to identify and address student health needs.
- Develop and maintain community partnerships to improve access to resources that benefit student and family health and wellness.
- Collect and analyze health-related data to inform decision-making and program development.
- Ensure compliance with state and local health regulations and reporting procedures.
- Provide professional development and training to administrators and staff on district-approved topics and strategies.
- Manage the district's Medicaid reimbursement program and oversee employee CPR/AED training and Stop the Bleed training.
- Develop and maintain accurate and complete health records and statistics.
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, education, public health, or a health-related program.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of nursing experience, with a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership position or school nursing.
- Illinois Registered Nurse License and Professional Educator License.
- Certified School Nurse (CSN) endorsement and CPR/AED certification.
- Valid Illinois Hearing and Vision screener certification.
- Knowledge of the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and Illinois School Code.
- Understanding of IDEA, ADA, and other laws supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of state and local health requirements and reporting procedures.
- Ability to analyze data and interpret data for decision-making.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
