The University of Iowa Department of English invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of 19th and 20th century literature. We seek a dynamic scholar and teacher who works in Anglophone literary and cultural studies from 1850-1950.

This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong research agenda and a passion for teaching. You will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, contribute to departmental service, and engage in scholarly activities.

The successful candidate will have a completed Ph.D. in English, Cultural Studies, or a related field by the start date. The ideal candidate will have published an article in the field, demonstrate promising research and publication potential, and have evidence of effective teaching at the university level.
