About the Role

We are seeking a talented manager to lead our software engineering team in the design, development, and optimization of graphics and video codec related solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and optimization of graphics and video codec related solutions.
  • Drive the architecture and technology that powers PlayStation's streaming services.
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with product management, technical project managers, and other teams to define technical requirements and roadmaps.
  • Mentor and develop team members.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in video and graphics technologies, ensuring our solutions remain innovative and competitive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant development experience.
  • 2+ years managing and leading software development projects and teams.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++.
  • Experience with GPU programming and frameworks (CUDA, OpenCL, or Vulkan).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

What We Offer

At PlayStation Global, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

In addition, this role is eligible for PlayStation Global's top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program, and coveted employee discounts for Sony products.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$179,300-$268,900 USD
