Estimated Salary: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Job Description

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to our valued residents. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will be responsible for delivering age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of our residents, as outlined in their individual care plans.

You will assist residents with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support. You will also aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, document resident interactions, and communicate any changes or concerns to the charge nurse.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
