Job Title: Instructor or Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Job Summary:

Southeast New Mexico College is seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Instructor or Assistant Professor to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics courses, developing curriculum, and contributing to the growth and development of our mathematics program.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach mathematics courses at the 100 and 200 level, including developmental education courses.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students.
  • Assess student learning and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional methods.
  • Participate in department meetings, faculty governance committees, and other college-wide initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop interdisciplinary projects and programs.
  • Attend scheduled faculty meetings, department meetings, and required training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mathematics or a closely related field of study, with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Mathematics.
  • Preferred: Ph.D. in a closely related field of study.
  • Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience as approved by the Human Resources Department.
