ROLE SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will administer radiation therapy treatments to patients.
Precision in aligning the radiation beam with the targeted tumor area and accurately delivering the prescribed dosage are critical responsibilities.
You will support and comply with the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.Key Responsibilities:
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Deliver and document radiation therapy treatments accurately under the supervision of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist. Maintain and enter patient treatment data into the electronic medical record system. Engage in the clinical training of newly hired therapists and students. Assist in managing patient appointment schedules and ensuring accurate billing information. Perform tasks such as cutting blocks, creating custom molds, and completing basic mu calculations. Interpret computerized treatment plans effectively. Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy technology program is required. This is an entry-level position, requiring 0-3 years of active practice as a Radiation Therapy Technologist (RTT). ARRT certification is mandatory. A valid state license for radiation therapy is also required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

Must be capable of standing for 8 hours, lifting 40-pound blocks to shoulder height, and possessing sufficient visual acuity to distinguish structures and isodose displays on a computer monitor.
Additionally, must be able to align treatment fields and monitor patients during radiation therapy sessions; have adequate hearing and speaking abilities to communicate effectively with patients and staff; and possess sufficient mobility to assist patients on and off the treatment couch and document treatments.
