Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safety, emergency, and security services to the campus community
  • Oversee traffic management and enforce parking policies
  • Investigate incidents related to traffic, vandalism, and theft
  • Execute administrative tasks as required
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Georgia P.O.S.T. certification is mandatory
  • Possession of a valid Georgia driver's license
  • A minimum of two years of experience in law enforcement is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior law enforcement experience within an educational environment
  • Training in Homeland Security protocols
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related discipline

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Ability to effectively manage crisis situations
  • Proficient report-writing skills
  • Capability to collaborate with diverse groups
  • Willingness to work various shifts and travel as needed

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Engagement in various physical activities and occasional exposure to challenging conditions
  • Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing
  • Comprehensive evaluation and examination required prior to employment

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. No benefits are provided.
