Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect care to assigned residents under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse.
- Prioritize the welfare of residents, maintaining a compassionate and attentive approach.
- Stay informed about the latest nursing practices, technologies, and healthcare requirements.
- Execute duties in accordance with physician directives and the Medical Center's policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments and healthcare personnel.
- Uphold high ethical standards in all aspects of care.
- Participate in educational programs and orientation for new staff as needed.
- Foster teamwork and provide leadership within the nursing team.
- Regularly assess and document residents' needs and conditions, reporting any changes to the RN.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Assist in training and supervising Nursing Assistants.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
- Valid LPN License to practice in the State of Minnesota.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and observational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and resources.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
