Position Overview:

This role involves collaborating with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to evaluate the patient's progress and suggest strategies for managing behavioral challenges.

Additionally, you will create tailored plans aimed at correcting, maintaining, or enhancing specific behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:


Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the communication abilities and functional levels of students, including standardized assessments as part of ongoing eligibility reviews.

Utilize expertise in speech, hearing, and language to design and implement programs addressing communication disorders.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and interdisciplinary team members to develop effective treatment plans that ensure educational benefits.

Provide instruction and guidance to team members and families to reinforce skills learned during therapy sessions.

Engage in professional development, utilization reviews, and team meetings.

Assess the effectiveness of therapy interventions and document outcomes.

Prepare and submit all necessary case documentation, including evaluations, treatment plans, clinical notes, and billing information in accordance with company policies.

Deliver services within the designated service area.

Work directly with clients, both individually and in group settings, to provide therapeutic services.

Maintain accurate and confidential client records and reports.

Keep attendance records aligned with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Individual Service Agreement (ISA) for each student.

Input service data into the company database and verify service logs monthly.

Adapt educational materials and tools to meet the unique needs of each student.

Collect and analyze data on student progress for documentation and reporting purposes.

Instruct students in targeted areas such as phonetics, vocabulary, fluency, and oral motor skills to support the achievement of speech and language goals.

Maintain and prepare a variety of manual and electronic materials for documentation and compliance with mandated requirements.

Ensure proper maintenance of high and low-tech augmentative communication devices and be familiar with symbol-based software.

Research and implement resources and strategies to support students' functional goals.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.


Qualifications:
  • Active and current license as a Speech Pathologist (SLP, SLPL, SLP-CCC) or eligibility for licensure.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in speech therapy.
  • Experience in educational or therapeutic settings for students with learning or social/emotional challenges.
  • Successful completion of DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance.
  • Familiarity with standard business practices and procedures.
  • Proficient in computer applications and internet usage.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including professional writing and telephone etiquette.
