Automotive Service Technician

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking highly motivated and experienced Automotive Assistants and Service Managers to join our team at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Bernardsville, NJ area.
About the PositionThe Automotive Assistant/Service Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of the repair shop, including scheduling mechanics/technicians' work, ordering parts, and ensuring the quality and timely completion of jobs that exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of under-car repairs, alignments, tires, and exhaust systems, as well as basic math and PC skills.
The Service Manager is responsible for assisting customers with tire selections and under-car repair services needed. This is a sales-oriented position requiring prior sales experience in products/services requiring up-selling techniques. Knowledge of repairs and the automotive industry is a plus.

QualificationsTo be eligible for the position of Automotive Assistant/Service Manager, you must be at least 18 years of age, be legally authorized to work in the United States, and possess 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts and/or tire sales, 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive repairs/maintenance, or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
