Role Responsibilities:
As a Physical Therapist, you will:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments, providing tailored physical therapy treatments and education to patients with complex medical conditions and their families.
- Supervise and mentor staff and students, developing in-service training programs to enhance ongoing professional development.
- Maintain regular communication with the patient care team, patients, and their families to ensure coordinated care.
- Assess and assist staff in evaluating intricate patient cases and challenges.
- Provide training and guidance to patients and families regarding essential aspects of care.
- Design, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable objectives.
- Deliver direct patient care, executing specialized treatments aligned with each patient's care plan.
- Collaborate with the patient care team and utilize community resources for post-discharge support and follow-up.
- Conduct in-service training and serve as a clinical instructor for students.
- Offer consultation on clinical management to the professional community.
- Participate in committees focused on patient care and other departmental initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Georgia.
- A minimum of one year of experience in physical therapy.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification as per American Heart Association standards.
