About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Morning Cook to join our team at Lexington Airport in Lexington, Kentucky. As a Morning Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food to meet high standards of quality and presentation, while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare food to meet portion sizes, quality standards, and department rules, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly.
  • Keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, and sanitized.
  • Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties, as well as end-of-day inventory, in accordance with guidelines.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house foodservice position.
  • Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat.
  • Standing and walking for the entire length of shift in moderate to high noise levels.
  • Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids, and operate kitchen equipment.
  • Exposed to variable temperatures and damp environments.
