We are seeking a full-time Crisis Response Staff member for our Crisis Home in Sac City. This position requires working 12.5 hour shifts with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, and travel is required.

Compensation:

$21.01 to $23.07 per hour, depending on experience

Job Summary:

As a Crisis Response Staff member, you will provide skill building, stabilization, mobile mental health intervention services, community mental health intervention services, and crisis intervention services to individuals in a state of mental health crisis.

Requirements:

To be eligible for this position, you must have one of the following:

  • A mental health professional certification as defined in Iowa Code section 228.1
  • A bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours or equivalent in a human services field, and a minimum of one year experience in behavioral or mental health services
  • A law enforcement officer certification with a minimum of two years experience in the law enforcement field
  • An emergency medical technician certification with a minimum of two years experience in the EMT field
  • A peer support specialist, family support peer specialist, or registered nurse certification with a minimum of one year experience in behavioral or mental health services
  • A bachelor's degree in a non-human services-related field, associate degree, or high school diploma (or equivalency) with a minimum of two years experience in behavioral or mental health services, and 30 hours of crisis and mental health in-service training
  • Computer skills and a valid driver's license with insurance

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingualism is a plus, but not required
