Position Overview:
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional, patient-focused care within the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This position involves overseeing all operational functions during designated shifts, ensuring a seamless experience for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate efficient admission and discharge processes to enhance patient throughput and care quality.
- Engage in continuous evaluation of patient care services, collaborating with management to uphold high standards.
- Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with subject matter experts and other managers to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Uphold a patient-first philosophy, addressing service recovery when necessary.
- Implement nursing strategies that enhance staff engagement and operational efficiency, including regular employee rounding and other initiatives.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of new staff, ensuring compliance with personnel policies and performance evaluations.
- Assist in staff scheduling and manage labor resources in alignment with patient care needs and productivity standards.
- Support inventory management and oversee the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree).
- Valid Registered Nurse License in Texas or an Active Multi-State RN Compact License (Texas RN License required within 90 days for Compact License holders).
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
- Minimum of two years of healthcare experience; BSN and three years of experience preferred.
