As a key member of our laboratory management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical chemistry services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Supervise and train laboratory staff, including clinical chemists and technicians, to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
- Collaborate with other laboratory departments and hospital teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of laboratory services.
- Participate in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with hospital goals and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze laboratory test results, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve laboratory efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Provide educational programs and training to laboratory staff to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure laboratory services are aligned with hospital goals and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical Technology or related science, or Master's degree in Clinical Chemistry.
- At least 6 years of relevant hospital experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- ASCP or NCA certification preferred.
- Current NYS License or licensure eligible required.
