Job SummaryThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Med/Surg department provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists with activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
Responsibilities- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide basic nursing care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with mobility
- Maintain a safe environment, including cleaning and organizing patient rooms
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required
- Current BLS upon hire and maintain current
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred
