Job Overview

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator/Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-wide complex IT architectures based on customer mission objectives and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer missions and business needs to ensure Oracle solutions meet customer objectives by combining Oracle best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen.
  • Recommend enhancements to meet highly complex customer needs.
  • Design and implement database solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI + FS polygraph clearance.
  • 10+ years' experience administering to, and engineering solutions with Oracle's database (10 – current).
  • Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as, the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation, and tuning.
  • Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery.
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata, DB security, Data Guard, and/or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration.
  • BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent year's experience.
  • Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.
