As a Family Medicine Physician at Endeavor Health, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a comprehensive, fully integrated healthcare delivery system.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Medical Patient Care: Interview, examine, and treat clinical patients to meet their medical needs.
- Educate Patients: Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources.
- Share Health Care Duties: Share health care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure availability at all times.
- Determine Referrals: Determine which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs.
- Exercise Medical Judgment: Exercise final medical judgment in all issues of health care.
- Prescribe Medical Treatment: Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.
- Order Studies and Tests: Order studies, tests, and ancillary services.
- Document Patient Records: Document all services in patient medical records.
- Consult with Medical Director: Consult with Medical Director and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the hospital or clinic requirements.
- Oversee Medical Staff: Oversee mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff.
- Assist with Complaints: Assist in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations.
- Participate in Teaching Sessions: Participate in teaching sessions for other hospital and medical staff, residents, and/or medical students as assigned.
- License: Illinois Medical License or License Pending.
- Certification: The successful candidate for this position will have completed a Family Medicine residency and be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine.
