Rapid City Medical Center is currently offering a full-time opportunity for a Registered Nurse within our Internal Medicine Department at our expanding Tower Road facility. This role encompasses a variety of nursing responsibilities, including hands-on patient care, educational support for patients, and collaboration within a dedicated team. We are in search of a professional who possesses exceptional communication skills, a commitment to customer service, and meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements: A valid nursing license is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' overall health status and record vital signs and weight.
  • Assist physicians during examinations, diagnostic tests, and treatment procedures.
  • Deliver basic patient care as directed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all interventions, patient responses, and medications administered in the medical record.
  • Promote health and wellness by providing educational materials and communicating physician instructions.
  • Comply with infection control and safety protocols, as well as confidentiality regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Work Environment: This position involves a combination of office and clinical settings, with potential exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and other common clinic conditions.

Physical and Mental Demands: The role includes a variety of activities such as sitting, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching. Candidates must be capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and lifting up to 100 pounds. The position may involve occasional stress due to workload. Proficiency in using various office equipment and medical instruments is required.
