Travel MRI Technologist Opportunity in Norfolk, Virginia

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel MRI Technologist for a 16-week contract position in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Perform a variety of MRI procedures with and without contrast using Siemens MRI equipment.
- Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and gather accurate clinical history.
- Review patient history and determine appropriate MRI protocols.
- Explain examination methods, position patients, and ensure their comfort and safety during procedures.
- Ensure the quality of MRI images and coordinate the preparation of images/exams for physician review.
- Document and communicate patient-related information thoroughly and accurately.
- Monitor MRI equipment performance, report issues, and perform necessary maintenance.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to better accommodate inpatient and ED TAT needs.
Requirements
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification required.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working as an MRI Technologist in a hospital setting.
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Ability to work day shifts, Monday to Friday.
- Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols.
- Excellent technical skills in operating MRI equipment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work well under pressure.
- Demonstrated commitment to high standards of patient care and professionalism.
- Ability to travel to and from the workplace.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen in accordance with Joint Commission standards.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer an estimated $80,000 - $120,000 per year salary based on experience, making this an attractive opportunity for experienced MRI Technologists looking to take their careers to the next level.
