Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical support in the cardiovascular laboratory. As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team working together to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
Perform and interpret EKGs, including basic and advanced analysis, to identify cardiac arrhythmias and ischemic patterns.
Assist with electrophysiology procedures, including mapping, ablation, and implantation of cardiac resynchronization devices.
Monitor and record arterial and venous pressures, as well as perform basic interpretation of these readings.
Set up and maintain scrub procedures in both cath and EP labs, adhering to standard precautions and infection control guidelines.
Prepare instruments and equipment for decontamination and sterilization, following universal precautions and hospital policy.
Assist in room cleaning and restock procedure rooms after each case, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Check and calibrate recording equipment, troubleshoot basic issues, and report malfunctions to the Nurse Manager.
Serve as a resource person for the care, maintenance, and use of specialized equipment in the lab.
Communicate effectively with team members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Maintain patient, medical record, department, and employee confidentiality at all times.
Participate in department staff meetings, contribute to discussions, and demonstrate a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration.
