Municipal Engineer

• Actively participating in the project planning and design process for various municipal projects
• Assisting municipal clients with asset management and long-range capital improvement planning for transportation, water, and wastewater infrastructure
• Developing plans, specifications, project budgets, and other related bid documents for civil engineering projects with the support of various technical departments
• Working with municipal staff to evaluate and develop engineering solutions
• Facilitating permits with regulatory agencies as needed
• Reviewing engineering plans for conformance with local ordinances
• Attending municipal board meetings

Requirements for this role include:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• Previous experience in municipal engineering
• Successful completion of the FE exam is highly preferred
• Experience with Microsoft products, specifically Word and Excel, is required
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or ArcGIS is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and relationship building skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
