Position Overview:
Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel RN specializing in Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU/RICU).

Shift Details:
- Night shifts starting at 6:45 PM
- 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation
- Duration: 13 weeks with holiday rotations among core staff

Qualifications:
- Valid California RN License
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac ICU
- Proficient in cardiac care

Certifications Required:
- Basic Life Support (BCLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Experience in immediate post-operative cardiac surgery care is preferred

Clinical Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system
- Common patient diagnoses include Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR), Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR), respiratory failure, renal failure, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and therapeutic hypothermia.
- Proficient in performing chest tube insertions, intubations, and emergency sternotomies
- Basic dysrhythmia exam required
- Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
- Patient ratios: 1:2 in CSICU/RICU, with floating between units as needed.
