Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Complete Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our orthopedic surgical team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians during surgeries, performing pre- and post-operative care, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with Surgical Procedures: Assist attending physicians during surgeries, perform surgical preparation, and assist with draping patients.
  • Medical Documentation: Complete accurate and timely medical records, including billing documentation, using CPT and ICD terminology.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist with control maintenance and proper use of orthopedic equipment, recommending changes as needed.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between orthopedic surgeons and hospital/ASC staff, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Order Writing: Write orders as directed by physicians, call orders to be countersigned, and assist with interpreting physician orders.
  • Procedure Performance: Perform procedures in the hospital/ASC setting, as outlined in the Delineation of Clinical Privileges, and as assigned by physicians.
  • Office Procedures: Perform procedures in the office setting, as assigned by physicians, and within the scope of the PA license or permit in the State of Connecticut.
  • Professional Development: Attend professional conventions, post-graduate seminars, and participate in professional societies to maintain and improve PA professional skills.
  • Availability: Be available to assist physicians during the week and on call, both weekdays and weekends, and perform daily rounds on patients in the hospital as dictated by physicians.
  • Emergency Response: Evaluate and institute initial treatment of patients in the ER as requested by physicians and under supervision.
  • Medical Records: Maintain accurate medical records for all patient encounters in the office, ER, or hospital setting.
