We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tennis Instructor to join our team at Apex Park & Recreation District. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tennis instruction and programs to individuals of all ages and skill levels.

• Develop and implement tennis instruction and activities that meet the needs of our participants, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Manage and supervise tennis programs, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all participants.
• Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff members to ensure a positive and inclusive experience.
• Organize and promote tennis programs, including junior programs, leagues, and special events.
• Provide individualized instruction for private, semi-private, and group lessons, as well as drills and special events.
• Attend training and seminars to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
• Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling, communication, and record-keeping.

• Sound knowledge of the game of tennis and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to structure classes and drills to engage participants of all ages and skill levels.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and use good judgment.
• Willingness to expand teaching knowledge and stay current with industry developments.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in administrative tasks.

• NTRP rating of 4.0 or above.
• PTR, USPTA, or Developmental Coach Certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire.
• 3-5 years teaching/coaching experience.

This is a part-time position that requires working in both outdoor and indoor environments. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate movement and energy on the court, lift cases of balls, and operate court equipment. The position involves a mix of active teaching and administrative tasks.
