Job Summary:

We are seeking a Substitute Nurse to join our team at Brenham Independent School District. As a Substitute Nurse, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to students in a school setting. This is a part-time position, and the schedule will vary depending on the needs of the district.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to students in a school setting, including administering medications, changing dressings, and providing first aid.
  • Assess the health needs of students and develop plans to meet those needs.
  • Communicate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure that students receive the care they need.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student health information.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas.
  • Experience working in a school setting or with children.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.


Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The Substitute Nurse will be required to work in a variety of settings, including classrooms, offices, and other areas of the school. The position also requires the ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed.
